Alaska Cruise Specials

A lot of people are asking about Alaskan cruise specials these days. This could be attributed to many things such as the wildlife or the beauty of the surroundings that tourists get to see after disembarking from the boat.

The two most of the more popular Alaskan cruise specials “Inside Package” and the Glacier Cruise. Tourists will be making a lot of port calls in the first one that includes some parts of Canada.

The second cruise special will involve passing a lot of glaciers. This is better than watching it from television since these huge walls of ice are just a few feet away.

A normal Alaskan cruise special will last a week. The customer can choose to extend up to 18 days before heading back home.

There are various shipping companies that head out into Alaska. Bigger vessels, which carry close to two thousand people and smaller ones that will only seat less than one hundred and fifty passengers.

Those who are looking for adventure before heading inland can take a smaller vessel since this can sail much closer to the glaciers. Bigger ships are not able to since this could cause serious damage, which is what sank the Titanic when it got too close.

The biggest factor in choosing which package is the budget of the traveler. The rates of a bigger vessel start at $750 and goes up until $3000. A smaller craft will won’t even reach $1,000 per passenger.

Some shipping companies have already made tie-ups with the locals. This means a passenger can hop on a helicopter and see the glaciers from the air. The pilot can even land on one so the person can step and touch this frozen rock before it will melt when it reaches warmer waters.

While in town, those who are curious about dog sledding can do it for real just like those seen in the movies and television.

Tourists are safer traveling in groups in the forests of Alaska to get up close and personal with a bear, a moose or even a wolverine.

The same thing of course can happen on the boat since there could be hump back whales, penguins, dolphins and sea lions swimming in the ocean.

There are a lot of activities to do in Alaska. This means it is not a vast and empty land as others might think because of the weather up there so people will have to see to believe.

The Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, Silversea, Radisson, Holland America, Norwegian, and Carnival each offers Alaskan cruise specials. Clipper and Cruise West are charter companies that use small boats.

The only thing for the person to do now is book a cruise bound for this place. This can be done by phone or online if the individual knows what to look for. Those who are not that familiar should get the services of a travel agency so the details the customer wants can be done even before boarding the vessel.

The Alaskan Cruise Specials are not opened all year round so it will be a good idea to book in advance. This may be something different than what the traveler has done in the past but those who decided to take a chance and see the wonders up north will surely remember the experience.
